Important Visit to the Turkish Basketball Federation: Turkish Towels Brand Promoted, Strategic Cooperation Opportunities Discussed

The brand journey of “Turkish Towels,” the registered brand of the Denizli Exporters Association (DENİB), was presented to Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) President Hidayet Türkoğlu.

Denizli Exporters Association (DENİB) President Hüseyin Memişoğlu, together with Home Textile Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association of Türkiye (TETSİAD) President Murat Şahinler and TETSİAD Vice President İlhan Sicimli, paid a visit to Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) President Hidayet Türkoğlu. During the meeting, DENİB's registered brand “Turkish Towels” was introduced in detail, and potential strategic cooperation opportunities and areas of joint collaboration between the brand and Turkish basketball were discussed.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the objective of Turkish Towels goes beyond simple product promotion. Instead, the initiative aims to position Turkish towels in international markets around the pillars of quality, trust, and sustainable production, while contributing to the perception of a broader “Türkiye brand” through an umbrella branding approach.

In this context, it was noted that DENİB's 14 years of experience in promotion and sponsorship could evolve into a measurable and impactful partnership when combined with basketball's broad reach and international visibility.

DENİB President Hüseyin Memişoğlu made the following remarks regarding the visit:

“First of all, we would like to thank the President of the Turkish Basketball Federation, Mr. Hidayet Türkoğlu, for his kind hospitality. Mr. Türkoğlu is a prominent figure who has successfully represented our country on the international stage both with our National Team and throughout his NBA career, contributing significantly to the brand value of Turkish basketball. As the Denizli Exporters Association, we aim to strengthen branding efforts in our leading product groups in line with Türkiye's export objectives, with the goal of both reaching end consumers and increasing value-added exports. Within this framework, one of our strongest initiatives is 'Turkish Towels,' through which we carry out the branding efforts of the Turkish towel.

As the registered brand of the Denizli Exporters Association, Turkish Towels is a strategic brand platform designed to enhance the global visibility of Türkiye's production capacity and quality standards in home textiles. Today, global competition is no longer won solely by production capacity; it is achieved through strong brand narratives that build trust in the right channels and consistently communicate commitments to sustainability and quality.

Through Turkish Towels, we aim to position the concept of the 'Turkish towel' in the minds of global consumers together with the values of quality, trust, traceability, and sustainable production. This approach directly supports our sector's goals of branded and value-added exports.

Turkish basketball, with the strong sense of belonging it creates domestically, its broad audience reach, and its international visibility and reputation, represents a highly valuable brand carrier. In our meeting with TBF President Mr. Hidayet Türkoğlu, we discussed the importance of approaching the convergence of Turkish Towels with this powerful ecosystem from the perspective of a strategic partnership that goes beyond the traditional understanding of sponsorship. As is known to the public, DENİB has previously undertaken several sponsorship activities with the Turkish Towels brand at EuroLeague Final Four events and various international tennis tournaments. Through these efforts, we have gained considerable international experience and recognition.

Our objective is clear: while contributing to the brand strength of Turkish basketball, we also aim to present our production capability and quality standards to wider global audiences through Turkish Towels.

In the coming period, we aim to rapidly develop a concrete roadmap with the Turkish Basketball Federation, focusing on a joint communication framework, content production, and flagship activation initiatives, and to move forward with tangible steps. We believe that such cooperation will both enhance the brand value of our federation and generate measurable outcomes for our country's promotion and export objectives.”

TETSİAD President Murat Şahinler also stated:
